What makes up a micro computer

   A micro computer is the smallest general purpose computer system. Functionally it is similar to other large systems and has all functional element found in a large system. A micro computer consist of a main micro processor chip, several support microprocessors and associated control, primary storage and a variety of input/output and secondary storage devices. Computers of this category are supported by single user operating system.

The micro computers are further divided into

  •         Home computers
  •         Personal computers
Micro computer are used for simple business applications such as word processing, database management, accounting etc.
